Outdoor Fun for the Band

Saturday, March 1st was a day of bonding for the band.  The equipment trailer, which is stored at TLE World Headquarters on Farmington Avenue outside of Pottstown, was hopelessly snowbound (make that icebound) as a result of the recent storm-after-storm-after-storm winter we have had.

Because of the unpredictable winter weather, we book a light schedule during the winter.  Snow often causes last-minute cancellations and travel issues for our faithful friends - and for the band - so we concentrate on learning new songs over the nasty winter months, while only playing often enough to keep our sound tight.

As a result, the trailer wasn't moved for several weeks.  The deep freeze we have all experienced caused the snow around the trailer to turn into a bit of a glacier... So, the band got together for something different -- a "dig-out the trailer" party.

The good news is that, after about a half-hour of breaking up the snow and ice, Tom was able to pull the trailer out.  Eric brought his plow rig, and Buddy had his flame-thrower, which he keeps with him at all times (not really).  So, we expect to be ready for the upcoming gig at Big Daddy's Wagon Wheel on Rte. 313 near Dublin on Saturday, March 8th.  We'll be looking for you there! - Smoke
